Brendan Rodgers could be bound for an Anfield exit with Jurgen Klopp lined up as replacement

The Borussia Dortmund manger is being lined up to take over as Liverpool boss unless results dramatically improve.

The latest embarrassing episode in the Reds’ season came on Sunday in a 3-1 reverse to Crystal Palace.

Afterwards Rodgers admitted that he could be in line for the sack unless their fortunes take a major upswing with the German likely to be his replacement despite enduring a tough campaign in the Bundesliga this season himself.(Daily Mirror)

Arsenal and Manchester United are set to battle it out for the signature of Hull’s left back Andy Robertson.

The 20-year-old is not even after a full season yet in the Premier league but is being touted as a future star and is already valued at over £10 million despite signing for the Tigers for just £2.85 million in the summer.

Arsene Wenger is looking to sign a talented left sided player to cover for Kieran Gibbs while Louis van Gaal still has reservations over Luke Shaw and especially his fitness.(Daily Express)

Hull City v Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League

One of the men who broke Irish hearts in Glasgow a few weeks ago could soon be plying his trade with James McCarthy and Seamus Coleman at club level.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez is a big fan of Shaun Maloney and is expected to table a bid for the ex-Celtic man in January.

Maloney was previously coached by Martinez in his time at Wigan and would cost less than £3 million in any switch to Merseyside.(Daily Mail)

Wigan Athletic v Middlesbrough - Sky Bet Championship

We love ‘the next’ anything to be honest and Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi is being tipped as the new Ronaldo (not sure if it’s the fat or the fast one to be honest.)

Well, we might get to see him a bit closer to these shores shortly enough as Liverpool and Chelsea are both reported to be interested in his services.

He is only 21 but has 10 goals this season and could be priced at almost £28 million if a team is willing to take him away from the San Siro (Daily Express)
