The 18-year-old has been linked with a move to Old Trafford after he was filmed talking to Mourinho during last year’s Europa League final.
Ajax’s Justin Kluivert has responded to widespread reports that he will move to the Premier League in the summer transfer window.
Speculation has been rife since, Mourinho pulled Kluivert to one side and the pair exchanged words during the Europa League final.
However, he has now insisted he has not spoken to the United manager following that match.
“I have heard the rumours but I haven’t spoken to Mourinho,” Kluivert told Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad. “A move to Manchester United wouldn’t make sense, for now.”
So it’s not a no.
Although it looks like he is set to stay at Ajax for the meanwhile, the winger is represented by agent Mino Raiola, who played a role in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku’s transfers to the Red Devils.
Kluivert made 20 appearances for Ajax last season, scoring two goals. This term he has already made 21 appearances and scored 6 goals.
The news comes after the Mirror reported that “United are ready to agree a fee of around £10million with various add-ons” for the Dutchman.
