Jurgen Klopp has been tipped to make a shock return to Borussia Dortmund in 2025. The German is just weeks away from leaving Liverpool after nine years at the helm.
It's widely expected that Klopp will take some time away from football before returning to any role with the Reds boss even admitting in January that he was contemplating retirement.
However The Independent have reported that a return to Dortmund could well be on the cards.
Despite reaching the Champions League semi-finals, Edin Terzic is facing calls to be sacked following the club's poor Bundesliga campaign.
Dortmund are outside of the Champions League places and with Terzic's contract only until 2025, talk of him being moved on has started to surface.
Although Klopp has been linked with a special reunion the report states that it wouldn't be in a managerial role and instead as a head of football.
During his time in charge of the German side, he won two Bundesliga titles, one German cup and even the 2013 Champions League final, which they lost to Bayern Munich at Wembley.
They could in fact return to Wembley 11 years on from their heartbreak if they beat Paris Saint-German in the semi-finals.
PSG are the favourites to go through but there will be added incentive knowing that they could even have a repeat of the 2013 final if Bayern Munich are able to emerge victorious against Real Madrid in the other semi-final.
Bayern drew 2-2 with the 14-time winners at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.
