Juan Mata was looking slick as hell in his retro Manchester United jersey

As if he wasn't dreamy enough

Niall McIntyre

Slick on the field, slick off it too.

Juan Mata is loved by Manchester United fans for many reasons. He always comes across as one of the good guys.

In an age of spoiled and sometimes selfish professional footballers hitting the headlines for the wrong reasons, the Spaniard always seems to cover himself in glory, be-it with a classy gesture to fans, donations to charity, or just genuine effort on the field of play.

When he speaks in an interview, you know that he’s not just spoofing his way through it, he speaks from the heart and fans appreciate that.

Mata doesn’t abuse his power as a professional footballer, he appreciates how lucky he is and tries to give back to those who support him.

He has just given Manchester United fans another reason to love him, when posing recently in a Manchester United jersey from the 1982/1983 season.

Mata isn’t posing like your standard footballer, he’s posing like an absolute boss.

Cool as a cucumber.

Mata has been on top from for the Red Devils so far this season, starting both of their games so far in which they trounced both West Ham and Swansea.

Mourinho’s men are perched on top of the Premier League table, and will be hoping to make it three wins on the trot when Leicester come to Old Trafford next Saturday.

They’ll also be hoping that Juan Mata rocks Old Trafford like he was rocking that jersey.
