Already?

Louis van Gaal’s tenure as Manchester United manager hasn’t officially ended (yet) but that hasn’t stopped one eager vendor outside Old Trafford selling merchandise emblazoned with the face of his potential successor.

Sports journalist Tom Williams tweeted this photo of Jose Mourinho themed United scarves on-sale prior to today’s game between United and Chelsea.

The former Blues manager has been tipped to succeed Van Gaal, and judging by these scarves it looks as though many United would welcome Mourinho at Old Trafford.

Van Gaal has been under pressure in recent weeks, with the team appearing sapped of confidence and winless in seven games.

While many United fans are unhappy with the team’s style of play.

Would Mourinho, a manager who struggled to turn around his former team’s fortunes, who has a reputation of playing less than attractive football and has rarely promoted youth players, be a good fit for United?

Either way, this scarf could be something of a collectors item in a few years, regardless of who’s the next United boss.
