With Tyson Fury v Wladimir Klitschko in the books, Sky Box Office would do well to obtain the rights to an even more explosive showdown as tensions have clearly reached boiling point between Jose Mourinho and Diego Costa.
Costa was dropped for Chelsea’s draw with Spurs at White Hart Lane and he was in even fouler form than usual.
Footage emerged of the temperamental forward throwing his training bib over his shoulder towards Mourinho which instantly became the talking point of a relatively drab 0-0 affair.
Mourinho was asked what he made of Costa’s hissy fit in his post-match press conference and the Blues boss claimed that his striker should feel “privileged” that he had gone so long without being dropped.
“I think Diego is privileged because he is last one on the bench,” Mourinho said.” Everyone else has been on bench. The captain (John Terry), Cesc Fabregas.”
Mourinho went on to explain that he understood why players would feel annoyed at being left out of the team, saying: “I was not expecting a player to be on the bench jumping and singing… a top player on the bench is not happy.”
But the Portuguese played down what will inevitably be dubbed Bibgate.
