Euro 2016 was last Sunday but 2016/17 is already well underway.
The football machine keeps churning out games and this afternoon will see Manchester United get their season started.
Jose Mourinho’s first game in charge is against Wigan Athletuc at the DW Stadium and, as is required by footballing traditions, he has named his team for the match.
Luke Shaw is back after almost 10 months out of the game due to a double leg fracture sustained in the Champions League.
There are debuts for Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly while Timothy Fosu-Mensah and James Wilson get chances to impress. Veteran midfielder Michael Carrick captains the side.
