Jon Walters and Robert Huth have been good buddies ever since they first linked up at Stoke, in 2010.
While just about every football fan – with the exception of Tottenham and Arsenal – approves of Leicester City’s title win, it will certainly set expectations high for every single Premier League club next season.
Stoke are no different and Mark Hughes will face some extra pressure to push on from mid-table finishes when 2016/17 kicks off in August.
That is exactly the sort of pressure Jon Walters thrives under.
The Irish striker is making good progress after a recent spell on the sidelines. Walters was out testing his nifty, cleaned out knee this morning and joined his son for a back garden kick-about.
In tribute to the Foxes’ title triumph, and his old mate Huth, there was only one jersey to wear.

One thing Walters Jr. will need, if he is ever to follow in Huth’s footsteps, is a granite jaw. Just ask Marouane Fellaini’s elbow.
