Joey Barton will not be lining out for West Ham next season.
The former Newcastle and QPR midfielder looked set to join the Hammers when he was pictured at the club’s Boleyn Ground with club officials.
However, after a lengthy day of wranglings, a deal for the free agent was scrapped.
He may yet regret being so dismissive of the SSE Airtricity League of Ireland.
Barton then took the entirely odd notion of posting a video, last night, to thank Hammers fans for their support over his proposed move and wish them well.
