Jamie Vardy simply cannot resist
Jamie Vardy loves scoring goals. He fecking loves it. He cannot get enough of leathering a ball into the back of the net.
But if there’s anything Jamie Vardy loves more than scoring goals, it’s winding up opposition fans with his celebrations – even when they’re not in the stadium.
The Leicester City star has a history of doing so, often favouring the iconic cupped ear celebration, lapping up every swear word and offensive gesture thrown at him from opposition fans incapable of containing their rage.
At other times, he’ll chose to mouth off to the opposing goalkeeper, or sometimes he’ll even mock the opposition’s nickname with a flamboyant gesture, like when he jumped in the air and flapped his arms in front of the Holmesdale end at Selhurst Park, alluding to Crystal Palace’s nickname, The Eagles. You can watch some of the funniest ones below.
And to mark the opening weekend of the 21/22 season, Vardy was no different.
His goal in the 41st minute gave the Foxes the lead against Wolves, and Vardy took the opportunity to pull out one of his best shithouse celebrations of his career.
Vardy sent the ball flying past Wolves keeper José Sá with a near post flick before running towards the away support and howling in front of them. You know, like a wolf.
You simply have to respect it.
