Poor Phil, he usually needs time to think of his witty comebacks.
Jamie Carragher was in top form last night, despite enduring a Manchester derby that contained 87 minutes of dross and about seven minutes of decent action.
The former Liverpool defender was far too much for ‘Pip’ as he joked about Jose Mourinho’s living situation “disaster” in Manchester.
Ahead of Manchester United’s 1-0 win over crosstown rivals City, Mourinho told reporters he had been hemmed in at The Lowry hotel as paparazzi were tracking his every move. He was not keen on buying a house as his two children often commute to London to see friends and go to university.
“For me it’s a bit of a disaster,” he lamented, “because I want sometimes to walk a little bit and I can’t.”
It’s not all bad, he added, he had some food delivery apps…
Poor bastard.
During Sky Sports’ post-match analysis, Carragher got in a couple of digs about Mourinho.
“You weren’t too happy with Jose, shaking hands and cuddling Pep before the game? You wanted him fighting.”
Neville scrambled to deny that one. Carragher wasn’t finished.
Carragher: “He doesn’t want to live in Manchester. You’re not going to move from London to Manchester, are ya?”
Neville: “Why not?”
Carragher: “Behave!”

The ribbing did not stop there. Neville fired this tweet off before he slipped between his presumably satin sheets:

Carragher was never going to let that slide.
And Jose still won't live there. https://t.co/rIEZUEA5hi

Another comprehensive victory for Carragher.
We’re looking forward to him taking on someone who can handle him a whole lot easier soon, Pip’s older brother Gary.
