Can you bloody imagine Jamie Carragher walking out of the Old Trafford tunnel, applauding his home fans as he prepares to take control of a Manchester United game.
Let’s be honest… that’s about as likely as a Roy Keane apology but that didn’t stop the Liverpool legend having a bit of fun with the notion of managing his once fierce rivals.
Sky Sports News made the error of attaching Carragher’s name to some footage of current United boss Louis van Gaal and a fan Tweeted a screenshot to the pundit.

And Carragher claimed that he’d love to take the Old Trafford hot seat one day but that he couldn’t promise that it would bode well for the Red Devils.
I'd love that job I could guarantee relegation within 2 years!! https://t.co/eJEfTf34eG

And Carragher had clearly thought it through as he explained why it would take two years, rather than one, to bring United to the Championship.
The referees would take a year to realise Man Utd weren’t a top club anymore & then stop giving them decisions. https://t.co/ZkGgkNCfJN
