He loves the Bhoys.
Celtic fans basked in the glory of Rangers’ fall from grace over the last few years, with the Gers dropping down as far as the third division of Scottish football.
They eventually climbed their way back up the ladder after four years in the wilderness, and finished third in their first season back in the SPL in the 2016/2017 renewal.
That is where Pedro Caixinha’s side are currently sitting after six games in the 2017/2018 season, and it’s fair to say they’re not in the best of form, only securing a last gasp draw against a ten-man Partick Thistle last Friday night.
Rangers will host Celtic in Ibrox at 12:00 on Saturday, and with it one of the fiercest rivalries in football will be renewed.
It’s fair to say that the stature of the Old Firm derby has taken a hit in recent years, given the lack of competitiveness between the two sides – Celtic’s last visit to Ibrox culminated in a 5-1 win for Brendan Rodgers’ men, their most comprehensive away triumph in the 116-year history of Rangers’ home.
Celtic have been untouchable in Scottish football for quite a while now, and will be aiming to make it 57 domestic games unbeaten on Saturday.
Celtic fans could be forgiven for dismissing the importance of the rivalry anymore, given their supremacy, and James McClean has fed this notion with a line that is sure to rattle Rangers faithful to the core.

McClean is most likely claiming that the Old Rangers are the second best club, and that the new club are behind them, but the cheekiest Celtic fan might claim that he’s inferring that Celtic’s reserves are better than them.
Either way, the Hoops were loving it, and the Gers… not so much.
3rd, that’s a bit generous?
