Rob Elliot is having a good day.
The Republic of Ireland international put in a man of the match performance in Newcastle’s 1-0 win against Bournemouth. Elliot produced a string of fine saves to keep the dominant home side at bay.
The goalkeeper also performed a pretty classy gesture after the game. Elliot, who has three caps for Ireland, gave a young Newcastle fan his gloves.

A nice keepsake for the girl who was part of the travelling contingent that would’ve left for Bourmouth in the early hours of this morning.
Elliot’s performance and gesture will undoubtedly be the main talking point on the six hour journey home.
After an outstanding Man of the Match performance Elliot gives his Pulse NGTs to a lucky fan. https://t.co/eLC7mfGfzF
