It took a long bloody time but we have a government again… once they get back from their break on May 17.
Enda Kenny is An Taoiseach and there are a few Independents in the cabinet to keep Fine Gael from crowing too much about recoveries.
One of the biggest shocks on the day was the appointment of Independent TD Shane Ross as Minister for Sport. Oh, and while he’s at it, Transport and Tourism.
No bother, just barge in on Monday morning [or Tuesday week] and dump a load of bright ideas into the empty IN-BOX of the nearest civil servant.
Minister Ross takes over from Minister Michael Ring and will have a butt-load of tasks once he gets his legs under the desk.
The reaction to appointment of the 66-year-old to the role would make you proud to be Irish…
Just… why?
Shane Ross' appointment as Minister for Transport, Sport and Tourism is confirmed. #WTF??

That was as positive as it got
Great to have former county GAA man, former international athlete, Shels fan & general sport nut, Shane Ross, in as Min of Sport. Oh wait…

Well, we live in hope.
Fare well Minister. Fare well.
