Just give us the damned trophy, Fifa, and be done with it!
Ireland were drawn to play Denmark in the World Cup playoffs, earlier this afternoon, with the first leg taking place in Copenhagen next month.

The Danes finished second to Poland in their group and have the likes of Kasper Schmeichel and Christian Eriksen in their squad.
Many Irish fans would have been hoping to avoid the likes of Croatia and Italy in the draw, although Switzerland were the highest ranked of the playoff teams and had been narrowly pipped to automatic qualification by Portugal.
As soon as the draw was made, Irish fans were quick to celebrate the lesser of four evils.
Holy shit we got Denmark. Fuck yes. Seriously great opportunity

Some were trying not to get carried away. Trying hard.
This is a brilliant draw for Ireland. Have to approach it in the right way tho, Denmark clearly no mugs #wcq2018 #playoffs

Others were still hoping for more.
Ireland got the draw they probably would've hoped for in Denmark. Eriksen to pull a Bale needed.
