Iker Casillas has posted an update on his condition after he underwent heart surgery on Wednesday afternoon having suffered from a heart attack during training in the morning.
The Spanish goalkeeper reassured fans that he was recovering well, tweeting: “All under control here! A big scare but everything is intact. Thanks so much for all the messages and affection.”

The Porto goalkeeper had suffered from a myocardial infarction during training on Wednesday morning and was rushed to hospital. It is understood that his recovery will not be complicated but his playing career could be over.
During his illustrious career, the 37-year-old has won the World Cup and two European Championships with Spain as well as 19 trophies at club level with Madrid and two major trophies with Porto.
