This is heartening to hear.

Luke Shaw has been visited by in his Dutch hospital room by  PSV manager Phillip Cocu and defender Hector Moreno.

It was Moreno’s sliding challenge in the PSV box that led to Shaw breaking his leg.

The 20-year-old Manchester United defender suffered a double leg fracture and, as of tonight, has had two operations to repair the damage.

While the Mexican defender has defended his challenge – one that Roy Keane labelled as “brilliant” – he has expressed sympathy with Shaw for his plight.

Dutch media outlet De Telegraaf report that Moreno, Cocu and PSV team manager Mart van den Heuvel paid Shaw a visit at St Anna Hospital.

‘We wished him all the best and were glad to see that he was not hurt as badly as first feared,’ said Cocu.

The second operation on Shaw’s leg was to close the gap wound left after doctors used invasive procedures to mend his fractured bones.
