Gary Neville is hopeful that Jamie Vardy will move his goalscoring exploits to La Liga.
The Daily Star report that the new Valencia head coach has urged the board to do everything in their power to bring the Leicester front man to the Mestalla.
Vardy has gotten shamefully lazy this weekend, failing to score for the first time in 12 games, but his form this season has proved that he’s one of the best finishers in the Premier League.
Manchester United are reportedly interested in Vardy but Neville hopes that Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri would be more willing to part ways with Vardy if he is unable to play against, and undoubtedly score against, the Foxes.
Neville’s initial contract with Valencia comes to an end in the summer so there is no guarantee that he will be in charge next season but he believes that Vardy’s pace and directness will translate perfectly to the demands of La Liga and, should Neville stay on, that the 28-year-old would be a key component in his plans.
