In a career spanning more than a decade, Franck Ribéry has mixed with some of the world’s greats.

The French winger was part of the team that lost the 2006 World Cup final, as well as playing under the likes of Louis van Gaal, Jupp Heynckes and Pep Guardiola in close to a decade at Bayern Munich.

And Ribéry has spoken to ESPN about Guardiola’s managerial style, as the Spaniard aims to lead Bayern to Champions League glory before moving to Manchester City this summer.

“Guardiola knows that the little details that can make us better,” Ribéry said.

“He analyses the game instantly — that’s his biggest strength, his best characteristic.”

The 32-year-old retired from international football for personal reasons in 2014, but feels there is plenty of talent in Les Bleus squad coming into a European Championships for which they are among the favourites.

He described the team as being “full of quality,” with particular praise going the way of Bayern team-mate Kingsley Coman and Manchester United’s Anthony Martial.
