He only played 15 minutes throughout the entirety of Euro 2024
France star Kingsley Coman is reportedly considering his future at international level after the way Didier Deschamps treated him at Euro 2024.
Coman was a part of the France squad but barely got any time on the pitch, playing just 15 minutes across all of their games as the 2018 World Cup winners were knocked out by Spain in the semi-finals.
The Bayern Munich star was a late sub in the goalless draw against The Netherlands and gradually appeared to become more frustrated throughout the tournament, with Bradley Barcola often the preferred option.
Coman considering future
His frustrations have even led to the point where Coman may decide to call time on football on the international stage.
According to L’Equipe, the 28-year-old has been left ‘scarred’ by his recent experiences and will retire to focus on club football if his playing time under Deschamps doesn’t improve.
One group who would be happy to hear that news is Bayern Munich.
Coman struggled for game time due to injuries last season, featuring 27 times in all competitions and has consistently struggled with injuries since arriving in Bavaria.
He’s missed a total of 107 games through injury since joining from Juventus in 2015.
Last season was also the first time in his career that Coman had missed out on winning a league title as Bayer Leverkusen ended Bayern’s 11-year reign as Bundesliga champions.
