After featuring at Celtic Park and Old Trafford, Miller will be playing at Turners Cross this season.
Liam Miller has agreed to sign for Cork City. The midfielder will join his hometown team from Brisbane Roar in the Australian A-League and will meet up with his new teammates in the coming weeks.
‘I am delighted to be returning home,’ said the 33 year old former Manchester United, Celtic and Ireland midfielder. ‘I will be proud to wear the Cork City jersey and do what I can for the team in front of all my family and friends’.
“I am best mates with Mark McNulty; I played with both him and Colin Healy since Under 16s and have lots of good memories. I also know Billy Dennehy who I played with at Sunderland’.
Miller played spent two years at United, between 2004 and 2006, playing 22 times for the Old Trafford club after joining from Celtic. The midfielder went on to play for Sunderland under Roy Keane, before moving to the A-League in 2011, where he played for Perth Glory for two years and a season at Brisbane Roar.
