Otamendi, Ramos, Pedro. Ed Woodward is the best in the business.
The best in the business at drumming up hysteric levels of hype only to fail to acquire some of Manchester United’s top targets.
News broke today that Pedro, the man who many were pegging as the missing piece in the LVG puzzle, would be heading to Chelsea for a medical after Woodward had visited Barcelona earlier this week to sew up the deal.
That trip looks to have been for nought as, once again, Manchester United miss their man and there was only one scapegoat on social media today but you have to feel for Woodward as rumour has it that it was Louis van Gaal who ordered the end of the pursuit.
That didn’t stop the tweeters though. Nothing ever will.
Congratulations Woodward you’ve fucked up once again #MUFC

Woodward going to Barca on Monday to sign Pedro worked as well as that contingent who went to Sao Paolo to sign Lucas Moura.

Fair play to Ed Woodward, transfer genius. Helping Chelsea sign Pedro, getting Ramos a new deal and letting Otamendi go to their rivals.

Ed Woodward’s summer of public rehabilitation undone by spectacularly messing up the Pedro deal. Glorious.

Ed Woodward flew to Barcelona yesterday to tie up the Pedro deal. The guy couldn’t even tie his own shoelaces.

If Manchester United manage to miss out on Pedro, that would be some Oscar-winning silly-arsing about from Ed Woodward.

Can we expect Ed Woodward’s resignation before the transfer window shuts or after it @ManUtd? Can’t have this pathetic man running the show

Manchester United just had to pay the €30m and get this over with, but it seems Woodward fancied a new €85m bid for Thomas Müller.
