Premier League players had a 50:50 shot at becoming the FIFA 17 cover star, but Anthony Martial and Eden Hazard have missed out.
Marco Reus has won the public vote, seeing off competition from Hazard, Martial and Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez.
Developer EA Sports made the announcement on their Snapchat channel, after letting the public decide which of the four players would replace Lionel Messi on the cover of the game.

Fans were able to vote on the FIFA 17 website or by hashtagging their favourite player on social media, and the German international has won out.
Reus missed out on Euro 2016 due to fitness worries, but should be fit and firing for the start of the 2016/17 season.
The winger has been joined at Signal Iduna Park by Mario Gotze, who has rejoined the club from Bayern Munich.
The four candidates for the cover were described by EA Sports as ‘football ambassadors who have influenced complete innovation in the action on the pitch’.
It is the first time since FIFA 12 that Messi has not appeared as the cover star. Previous instalments of the game have seen an additional player join the cover star for local editions of the game.
