Massive relief for family and friends of Lee McLaughlin as he is located in Paris.
On Tuesday evening, Lee McLaughlin’s family appealed for information to help locate the 19-year-old.
McLaughlin, from Gleneely in Donegal, had been missing from his hotel since Tuesday morning, after attending the Republic of Ireland’s Euro 2016 game against Sweden in the Stade de France the night before.
He was last seen in his hotel, Ibis Paris Montmartre, and had not been heard from after staff at the hotel believed he had gone out to buy a phone charger.

“Lee’s father and nephew went for breakfast this morning. He was sleeping in the hotel room and, when they came back, he was gone,” Lee’s cousin Gerard Doherty told JOE.ie.
“They initially tried ringing him, but his phone rang out, before the phone died altogether.
“The hotel said he went out to buy a charger for his phone, so they thought that he might have gone to the airport, but he wasn’t there.”
Thankfully, McLaughlin has been safely located in Paris:
Lee McLaughlin has been found safe and well in the last few minutes. Thanks to all. @FAIreland @rtenews @COYBIG

A terribly worrying 24 hours but relief now that he has been found.
