Domino’s brutally troll Tottenham with savage tweet

The pizza chain have inflicted even more pain on Spurs

Tottenham’s misfortunes have continued after Domino’s brutally trolled them on social media.

Their 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa on Saturday means that their slim hopes of Champions League football have all but ended to cap off what has been a dismal campaign.

Following the sackings of Antonio Conte and Cristian Stellini, Spurs are hoping to find a long-term appointment in the coming weeks while Ryan Mason looks after the side for the remainder of the season.

Julian Nagelsmann is the latest name to be ruled out and further salt has been rubbed into the wounds after it was reported that former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has agreed a deal to become Chelsea’s new manager.

After Sky Sports confirmed the news, Domino’s seized the moment and used it as a way to mock Spurs and their supporters.

A tweet from the pizza chain said: “Sorry if your pizza is delayed this evening – this is due to flooding caused by the tears of Spurs fans.”

Gary Neville meanwhile has backed Chelsea’s decision to go after Pochettino and believes he is the right man to lead the squad that has so far failed to impress.

Speaking on Sky Sports last month, he said: “Based on what [Chelsea co-owner Todd] Boehly has said, Chelsea have done their spending for the next three years – apart from signing a centre-forward.

“If they appoint Zinedine Zidane, Luis Enrique or Diego Simeone, they’re going to want to have another £300m as they won’t like some of the players they’ve previously signed.

“They’ve got to appoint a manager who is going to inherit and like the squad that they’ve got – a lot of them are young – and I think that man is Mauricio Pochettino.”
