What is it with Liverpool and goalkeepers?
Belgian stopper Simon Mignolet isn’t exactly flavour of the month at Anfield after a string of mistakes – and Reds fans couldn’t hide their disdain when he signed a five-year deal.
Another ‘keeper who didn’t have the most glory-filled time of it on Merseyside was David James.
So when the ex-England stopper tried to show some moral support to the under-fire keeper (who didn’t have the greatest of first halves against West Ham in the FA Cup) commentating on BT Sport, all hell broke loose.
His comments really didn’t go down too well on the internet…
