O’Shea looks set to leave Championship side Burnley.
Two Premier League clubs want to sign Burnley and Republic of Ireland defender Dara O’Shea before the transfer window closes on August 30, according to reports.
Brentford and Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to be keen on signing O’Shea, 25, as they seek defensive reinforcements.
Burnley reportedly want £15m (€20m) for the central defender.
O’Shea joined the club from West Bromwich Albion last summer for £7m (€10m) and was a key member of the team as they suffered relegation from the Premier League.
The Ireland defender made 33 appearances for Vincent Kompany’s side and scored three goals.
O’Shea’s performances have caught the eye of two Premier League sides, both of whom are in the market for a new central defender.
Brentford have been linked with a move for the 25-year-old. The Bees would look to partner O’Shea with fellow Ireland defender Nathan Collins.
Wolves, meanwhile, are reportedly weighing up a bid for the defender and beat Brentford to his signature.
Wolves are seeking a replacement for Max Kilman, who joined West Ham United.
They were also interested in signing Ireland central defender Jake O’Brien before they missed out on him to Everton.
O’Shea has earned 26 caps for Ireland and is expected to be named by Heimir Hallgrímsson in the squad to face England and Greece in the Uefa Nations League next month.
