Given the phenomenal career he’s had, it takes a brave man to start questioning Cristiano Ronaldo about his goal scoring record.
But in a press conference ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League tie against Roma, one reporter dared to ask the Portuguese star why he hadn’t notched up an away goal since November.
Unsurprisingly, Ronaldo didn’t take it too well.
According to Sport, he quickly pointed out that his goals tally since he arrived in Spain wasn’t all that bad.
“Who doesn’t know who’s the player who has scored the most goals since I arrived in Spain?” he questioned. “Well, it’s me.”
And following that, Ronaldo made an abrupt exit from the press conference.
It’s funny. He doesn’t strike you as the kind of guy to have an ego.
