Breaking news: Cristiano Ronaldo in modesty shocker.

The Ballon d’Or will be decided later today, but in the meantime the three finalists have taken part in a joint press conference ahead of the ceremony in Zurich, Switzerland.

With Lionel Messi almost certain to win the award for the fifth time, and Neymar seemingly delighted to have made the final three for the first time, the holder Cristiano Ronaldo perhaps wants to get the whole thing over as quick as possible.

However, the Real Madrid forward seemed in good form during the pre-ceremony press conference, and even revealed he’s slightly envious of one aspect of his rival’s game.

When asked which aspect of Messi’s game he’d like to possess, Ronaldo reportedly said “his left foot.”

When the same question was put to Messi, the Barcelona genius, according to football writer Miguel Delaney, said: “I don’t feel envy. That’s a negative trait.”

Prompting Ronaldo to burst into tears, and run out of the auditorium crying hysterically*.691593_cristiano-ronaldo-crying(*Or remain seated and smile politely).

Meanwhile, when the same question was put to Neymar, he proved that in addition to being a world class footballer, his banter game is strong and capable of diffusing the most awkward of situations.
