Kurt Zouma’s season is over.
The 21 year old Chelsea defender landed very awkwardly on his right knee in the second half of Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
Zouma could be heard screaming in agony, and was stretchered off the field.
The French defender underwent a scan today and it was revealed that he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury and will be out of action for up to six months.

Zouma will miss the rest of this season, the European Championships, which is being staged in his home country, and the start of next season.
The 21 year old will undergo surgery in the next 48 hours, but took to Twitter following the scan and vowed to “come back stronger”.
Scan today has shown I injured my ACL. I will have surgery this week & will come back stronger. Thank you everyone for all the messages 🙏🏻🙏🏻
