Celtic's Portuguese star Jota was nearly caught up in an Orange Walk in Glasgow on Sunday.
The striker was taking selfies with Hoops fans outside the Blythswood Hotel as the Walk approached, before he was ushered away in a vehicle by his friends.
Speaking with the Daily Record, an eye-witness explained how they were trying to get a look at Spiderman actor Tom Holland who in town filming the next instalment in the franchise, Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
He said: “We were actually outside the hotel as we wanted to get glimpse of Tom Holland who was staying there during Spider-Man filming.
“Then all of a sudden Jota just strolled out.
“He was happily chatting to us and doing selfies.
“My friend asked if he’d seen Tom but he said he hadn’t but had seen his fiancée Zendaya.
“The march was getting louder and closer so his pals were getting very flustered telling him that he had to go.
“He didn’t seem too bothered though and kept doing pictures but the people he was with started shouting that he had to get away.
“They then ushered him into a vehicle which sped off.”
The 26-year-old is currently injured, and was not with his teammates as they prepped for their first game of the 2025/26 Scottish Premiership against St Mirren, which they won 1-0 later that day.
