I leave you clowns alone for two hours and you do this?
Portugal fell to a shock 2-0 defeat against Cape Verde last night and half the footballing world is refusing to believe it actually happened.
The world’s seventh ranked side fell to two first half goals – a cross/shot from Odair Fortes and Gegé’s header – and lost defender Andre Pinto to a second-half red.
The match had been arranged to raise funds for a natural disaster on the island of Cape Verde [located more than 400 miles west of Senegal, west Africa].
Portugal were without Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepé [Pepé!] but were still expected to swat the minnows aside. We say minnows but Cape Verde are ranked 38th in the world, 28 places above Ireland.
