Fair play to the guys

A 95th minute equaliser – delight for some, torn betting slips for the other.

Cabinteely FC have come up with a novel way of sating frustrated punters after John McKeown snatched a 95th minute leveller for them, on Friday.

Once the euphoria had died down, the SSE Airtricity First Division side noticed that quite a few folks had their accumulators reduced to torn up shreds.

Last night, the club released this short statement:  ‘We couldn’t help but notice on Twitter that John McKeown’s late equaliser on Friday was a bit of a ‘coupon buster’ and caused a lot of people to lose their bets.

‘We have decided that for our next home game on May 22 against Cobh Ramblers, anyone who brings us a losing bet slip from Friday night will get free entry.’

So now, it is just a matter of piecing together the bits and bobs of your coupon back together and get along to ‘Cabo’.
