Bruno Fernandes was dragged away from a Sky Sports interview by manager Erik Ten Hag, just as he was talking about his future at Manchester United.
The Portuguese midfielder put in a player-of-the-match display as Man United beat Newcastle 3-2 in their final home game of the season.
But in recent weeks, there has been speculation about Fernandes's future at Old Trafford as United seem to be preparing themselves for a summer of change.
After the Newcastle game, Sky Sports spoke to the 29-year-old on the pitch to award him his player of the match award.
When he was asked by Sky's Patrick Davison about his future at the Red Devils, Fernandes said: "I will be here as long as the club wants me to be a part of the future.
"As I have always said, I don't want to be a player the club doesn't want to have.
"If for some reason they don't want to have me, I will go. But if they want me, I will stay."
As he was talking though, United boss Ten Hag could be seen approaching in the background. Eventually, he grabbed Fernandes by the arm and pulled him away from the interview.
The United captain then joined his manager and teammates in the middle of the pitch, as Ten Hag gave a speech to the fans, thanking them for their support throughout the season.
Speaking about Fernandes after the game, Ten Hag said: "Obviously the club wants to keep Bruno, there's no doubt about it.
"He loves Manchester United, he loves to play for Manchester United.
"Especially with the injuries around him, he has to carry the team, he keeps a high level."
Man United play their final Premier League game of the season on Sunday when they travel to Brighton.
They then play rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup at Wembley on May 25.
