Brexit supporter can’t handle what Brexit’s done to his Football Manager 2017 game

Furious

Access to the single market, free movement of people, NHS funding – there are many thorny issues thrown up by the Brexit referendum which will impact on almost every aspect of Brits’ lives.

But surely computer games – those imaginary worlds of escapism – would be free of all that gritty realism?

No. In a bid to make the wildly popular Football Manager game as realistic as possible, the creators have added in Britain leaving the EU as one of the variables in the game engine.

And now one player, who appears to be a staunch supporter of Brexit, is fuming at what it’s done to his favourite game.

‘Davespiceboy’ has left a stinging one star review on the Apple app store, complaining about the impact of the policy on the mobile version of the game.

The review (which you can see if you look up the game on the app store) begins: “Great game… ruined because of Brexit!”

He continues: “…midway into season 3 of the game it tells you Britain leaves the EU. Time for celebrations right…wrong.

“Once this happens you have to get work permits for ALL EU players,” fumes Davespiceboy.

Curse those border controls!
