Brendan Rodgers is making a habit of not losing to Rangers and once again, he led his Celtic side to victory.
Celtic's 2-1 win against their Glasgow neighbours means they sit at the top of the Scottish Premiership six points clear with only two games left of the season. Another title is almost certainly going to be wrapped up at Kilmarnock on Wednesday.
Matt O'Riley's stellar season continued as he was afforded too much time and space to pick out the opener before John Lundstram turned the ball into his own net minutes later.
Cyriel Dessers gave Rangers a lifeline before a frantic first half came to an end with Lundstram being given his marching orders for a dangerous challenge on Alistair Johnston.
O'Reilly missed from the spot to make it 3-1 in the second half and despite Rangers' best efforts, Celtic dug deep and held on for three points and bragging rights again.
The win at Celtic Park ensured that Rodgers continued his excellent record against Rangers and has only tasted defeat to them once over his two spells as Celtic boss.
Asked what was the key behind his success agains their Old Firm rivals, Rodgers gave Rangers an insight into what they're missing.
He told Sky Sports: "It's just confidence. These are such tense games.
"I pay tribute to the players because they started the game with crispness and quality of football was very, very good. But it comes from culture, it comes from mentality, it comes from the environment and that last bit is just sheer desire to not be outplayed and win the game. And the guys showed great mentality to win the game."
Ahead of their trip to Kilmarnock on Wednesday, Rodgers has urged the Hoops to get the job done.
"It is there for us now. We have to go and win it," he exclaimed.
"We can see the finish line we just have to get over it. The focus is on recovery and we got there on Wednesday and look to finish the job."
