Brendan Rodgers has reacted to Liverpool’s struggles, saying he is ‘favourite for the sack’
Liverpool have not won since a 2-1 Capital Cup victory over Swansea on 29 October and are currently 12th in the Premier League table, with doubts surrounding Brendan Rodgers’ position at the club.
‘A few months ago I was the manager of the year, now I’m favourite to get the sack,’ said Rodgers.
‘It’s part and parcel of this wonderful life of working in football.’
Liverpool have struggled massively this season since the transfer of Luis Suarez to Barcelona and have already lost the same amount of games as they did in the whole of last season with six.
Rodgers added: ‘All you can do is focus on the immediate job, on what you can control.
‘For me, it’s about working with the players, providing even more clarity in their roles and the function of the team.’
Don’t be so silly though Brendan, you’re only third favourite for the next sacking.
