Ed Woodward is nothing if not persistent.

The Manchester United executive vice-chairman reportedly spent most the summer transfer window pursuing deals for players such as Neymar, Gareth Bale and Thomas Muller.

The club ended up Anthony Martial instead, and that has worked out pretty well so far, but Ed may not have given up hope of signing a superstar for United.MUNICH, GERMANY - OCTOBER 04: Thomas Mueller (L) of Muenchen celebrates after scoring the opening/first goal during the Bundesliga match between FC Bayern Muenchen and Borussia Dortmund at Allianz Arena on October 4, 2015 in Munich, Germany. Heinz Rummenigge reportedly said: “I told Ed Woodward that I can’t switch off my email account, so he should stop sending offers for Muller.”

However, this could just be a sign that their stance is weakening, Ed.

Rummenigge may have to change his email address.SUNDERLAND, ENGLAND - OCTOBER 05: Manchester United Chief Executive Edward Woodward makes his point prior to the Barclays Premier League match between Sunderland and Manchester United at the Stadium of Light on October 5, 2013 in Sunderland, England.
