Two wins in a week for Arsenal, but not fans appear pleased.
Arsenal recorded a hard fought victory over West Bromwich Albion earlier today, but it appears not all of the team’s fans are happy with manager Arsene Wenger. Following the final whistle, TV cameras focused on a fan made banner saying: ‘Arsene thanks for the memories but its time to say goodbye’. Arsenal won 1-0 thanks to Danny Welbeck’s header and currently sit sixth in the Premier League. However, despite the victory today and mid-week, dissent appears to building around the league’s longest serving manager
Post-match Wenger refused to comment on the banner, saying: ‘I don’t comment on that. Do I need to say it again? I don’t comment on your question’. The Arsenal manager went further and batted away any criticism of his team. ‘The only thing we can do is let people talk,’ he said. ‘We live in a society of total opinion but we live off not what we say but what we do, and what we do is on the pitch’.
