Arsenal recorded their seventh win in 10 Premier League games against Sunderland, thanks to one man in particular.
Olivier Giroud is still yet to start a Premier League game this season, but the Frenchman made an instant impact from the bench to lead Arsène Wenger’s team to a 4-1 victory.
Giroud has been a divisive figure in North London, scoring regularly but also missing a frustrating amount of chances, and there’s nowhere his nature is felt more keenly than among the fine folk of Arsenal Fan TV.
One of the fan channel mainstays – Claude – has arguably been the striker’s biggest detractor. But even he was forced to eat humble pie after the second-half sub scored with each of his first two touches to ruin David Moyes’ afternoon – not to mention that of attempted Sunderland super-sub Adnan Januzaj.
“If I remember correctly you said leave Olivier in London,” fellow Fan TV regular Ty told a beaming Claude after the victory at the Stadium of Light.
Claude did well to laugh it off, jokingly calling Ty a grass, and eventually – albeit after plenty of prompting – offered Giroud an apology.
Things are looking up for Arsenal, and everyone’s getting in on the act.
