The Champions League knockout stages are back in full swing and it’s all enough to make Manchester United’s supporters nostalgic.
For the second year running United won’t be appearing in the competition’s last 16, and have to overturn a 2-1 deficit against Danish minnows FC Midtjylland if they are to continue in the Europa League.
One of the men that helped them win the European Cup back in 2008, Anderson, is no longer with the club having (finally) moved back to Brazil last year.
Now with Internacional, Anderson wanted to send a message to the supporters of his former club when being interviewed by Andy Mitten.
Just interviewed Anderson for UWS in Porto Alegre where he's at @SCInternacional He wants to know if you remember… pic.twitter.com/8wqp5bzulL

Although the message was almost certainly meant to stir fond memories of their European triumph in the Russian capital, its timing is a cruel reminder to United’s supporters that once again, they’re missing out.
