With the summer transfer window now approaching, clubs are able to negotiate pre-contracts for European players whose deals expire after this season.
Last year, players like Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kevin De Bruyne were among the big names who ran down their contracts and joined new clubs upon expiration of their contracts.
This year there are some huge names who are due to become free agents as the seasons have ended.
In Spain, Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski and Real Madrid's Antonio Rudiger, David Alaba and Dani Carvajal also have their contracts run out.
Lewandowski and Alaba will almost certainly leave their respective clubs.
In Italy, Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus and Rome’s Paulo Dybala are among the big names, while in Germany, Leon Goretzka has announced his departure from Bayern Munich.
