He may have been sidelined with a hamstring injury since November, but Alexis Sanchez is itching to rejoin Arsenal’s title push.

The Chilean insists he’s happy to be at the club, having moved to the Emirates from Barcelona in 2014.

And while he’s watched his team-mates drop some points in his absence, Sanchez is daring to dream that the club could be on the cusp of their first league title in over a decade.

“This campaign we are demonstrating that we are serious candidates for the Premier League title,” he is quoted as saying in the Mirror. “I think there can be no doubt about our credentials to be champions this time.”

The thought of lifting the Premier League trophy has excited Sanchez so much that he appears to feel the need to mark such an occasion, and would even consider getting a special commemorative tattoo.

“It would be a dream. Right now, I don’t know what I would do if we won the league. But maybe a tattoo!”

If Arsenal can overcome Leicester City, Sanchez may be booking an appointment at the tattoo parlour in the months to come.
