Adam Johnson was sentenced to six years in prison earlier on Thursday after he was found guilty of sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl.
Judge Jonathan Rose, was damning in his sentencing of the former Sunderland winger.
“You have no remorse because you still deny the most serious offence,” he said.
“This will be your first prison sentence, this is all entirely your fault. There is an abuse of trust, you are trusted by young fans to behave properly.”
It has since emerged that Johnson was original arrested for the possession of extreme pornography, specifically bestiality, on his laptop last year.
The has not been allowed to be reported until now because of tight restrictions around the case.

Johnson has been told that he will not face any charges for possession of this pornography.

It can also be reported that Adam Johnson was taking medication used to treat sexually-transmitted infections when he was arrested last year
