A regular game of football for 42 minutes until it all kicked off.
Manchester United went in level at 1-1 with Bournemouth at half-time of their Premier League clash. What started as an open, flowing game ended up with Gary Neville likening it to a UFC brawl.
There were some feisty challenges flying about but United took the lead through Marcos Rojo. The Cherries equalised through a Josh King penalty after a rash Phil Jones challenge.
Then, less than a second after Wayne Rooney was scythed down, Tyrone Mings stamped on the prone head of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Play was waved on and it took the Swede less than a minute to exact revenge by elbowing Mings in the head.
“He deserves what he got,” claimed Jamie Carragher on Sky Sports at half-time.
Amid the chaos, Andrew Surman pushed Ibrahimovic and was sent off for his second yellow card. Somehow, the United striker got just a yellow card and all Mings got was several minutes of treatment.
No-one seemed happy with the crazy developments.
1-1
Retrospective bans on the way for Zlatan & Mings?
Dermot Gallagher at #PL Match Centre says they could be.https://t.co/cfDJq6619P pic.twitter.com/NcF2an7L6Z

Don't think Mings meant to stamp on Zlatan's head. (He's trying to defend, ball active) To be fair, it's a large area not to miss. #MUNBOU

Mings should do time for that stamp on Zlatan

More awful refereeing in the Premier League. Surman should still be on the pitch. Mings and Zlatan should both be off. Error after error!
