A striker you’ve never heard of who could soon be playing for Manchester United or Chelsea

Oumar Niasse looks an exciting prospect

It appears Manchester United do have scouts.

The club’s transfer policy at times has resembled a teenager playing Fifa 16, with United been linked with moves for Neymar, Thomas Muller and Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, along with Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea, the club have reportedly been scouting Lokomotiv Moscow striker Oumar Niasse and could make a move this month.

According to The Guardian, the Senegalese striker is available for £15 million (€20 million), and given the lack of top-class striking options on sale across Europe in January, this makes Niasse a feasible option for the three Premier League teams who are currently short up-front.FC Dinamo Moscow v FC Lokomotiv Moscow - Russian Premier League

Niasse was voted the Russian league’s player of the year for 2015, and scored 12 goals in 21 games, registering 10 assists.

The 25-year-old was subject of bids from Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen, but reportedly has his heart set on moving to the Premier League. His wife is based in Manchester.

According to the football statistics website Whoscored.com, Niasse is a strong dribbler, a good finisher and possesses an eye for a pass.

If Ed Woodward messes this one up he best avoid Twitter for the subsequent few days.
