Diego Costa just can’t seem to get through 90 minutes without stirring up some sort of controversy.
The Chelsea striker has been reported to referee Anthony Taylor by a steward for “assault” late on in Stoke’s 1-0 victory over the reigning Premier League champions.
Costa jogged to retrieve a ball from behind the corner flag late on in the game at the Britannia Stadium and appeared to stand on the toes of a steward close to the tunnel.
While contact looked to be minimal, the steward was definitely forced back through the momentum of the controversial forward.

There doesn’t look enough in it to warrant a ban but with the run of luck that Chelsea are currently experiencing, don’t be surprised to see him suspended for the rest of the season.
UPDATE:
It seems now that Costa will not be sanctioned after the BBC reports this morning that any issues involving the striker and the steward have been resolved.
It seems that referee Anthony Taylor will mentioned the issue between Costa and the steward in his match reprot but that the Spin international will not face any sanctions.
