Can anyone stop Gennady Golovkin?
The Kazakh recorded his 34th professional win last night with a dominant victory over David Lemieux, stopping his opponent in the eight round.
Golovkin was untroubled throughout the bout at Madison Square Garden and landed 280 of 549 punches, (51 per cent). While Lemieux landed just 89 of 335, (27 per cent).
The 33 year old holds the WBA, WBC and IBF middleweight titles, and, after his victory, called out the winner of next month’s fight between Canelo Alvarez and Miguel Cotto.
Golovkin now has a better KO percentage than Mike Tyson after 34 fights. Impressive.
GGG v Lemieux, was only one man ever in the fight, GGG schooled him from the start. https://t.co/nZnZBFfgh0
