WATCH: Conor McGregor was pumped up beyond belief for final Mayweather face off

Got very heated

Patrick McCarry

“I’m going to breeze through him!”

The fight is on!! Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. both came in under the 154lbs weight limit and we will have a fight.

Mayweather Jr. and McGregor took to the scales before facing off for the final time ahead of the Saturday night [Sunday 5am GMT] bout at the T-Mobile Arena.

The Dubliner was first up on stage and he was definitely more gaunt than the man we saw confidently predicting a K.O victory in the lead-up to the fight.

Mayweather came out to Phil Collins’ ‘In the Air Tonight’ and both men stepped on the scales amid heavy verbals from their entourages and ‘Olé, Olé, Olés’ from the Irish fans in attendance.

McGregor weighed in at 153lbs and Mayweather was 149.5lbs.

With the scales cleared from the stage, both men squared off and traded some insults.

Most of the screams and proclamations came from McGregor, who told the Michigan native he would rip his head off.

Interviewed after the ceremony, McGregor claimed his opponent looked like “dogsh*t” and he confidently predicted he would breeze through him. “It’s the worst shape I’ve ever seen him in,” he claimed. “He’s soft… he’s full of water.”

McGregor told Showtime’s Jim May that he was coming into the fight, on Saturday, close to 170lbs. Mayweather responded, “Weight doesn’t win fights. Fighters win fights.”

You can see how the whole weigh in and face-off extravaganza went off here:

There’s nothing left to do now but fight.
